provides professional services for a variety of public organizations such as
county government, villages, utility providers, and park districts. We enjoy
helping these organizations serve the public and achieve their mission and
objectives.
MG2A’s work includes master planning, grant writing, project
engineering and management, and special studies. Our work also includes help
with operational aspects such as plan review, drafting regulations and technical
guidelines, organizing and attending various board and committee meetings, and
the administration of annual infrastructure maintenance programs. Typical

Kankakee
County recognized the need for revisions to their standards for stormwater,
sediment, and erosion control. The County’s planning department addressed this
need by initiating a collaborative effort of local stakeholders, such as
municipalities, governmental agencies, builders and developers, and consulting
engineers.
MG2A
was pleased to participate in
this effort which resulted in a “Model Stormwater Ordinance for Kankakee
County, Illinois.”
MG2A
further refined this model to
satisfy the specific needs of several local communities. Kankakee County’s
model stormwater ordinance has provided much needed guidance and standards for
reducing flooding hazards and improving stormwater runoff quality.
